rain can be observed as a tribute to a cult classic Ico. The basic premise is pretty much the same, but what makes rain a much more enjoyable experience is the fact that, unlike Ico, it has no tedious sections or gameplay elements. What is there is the essence of Ico, everything that was great about it, while none of its problems made it in.
Pros: Superb storytelling, beautiful soundtrack, cool gameplay hook, great visual and level design, varied and imaginative gameplay, excellent pacing, no traditional combat to speak of, no fluff, makes you care about the characters, awesome shout-outs to Ico
Cons: Technically underwhelming (especially the rain), last two chapters are perhaps too simple both visually and gameplay wise
