While The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition doesn't really enhance the experience of the original (in fact, I'd argue it worsens it), it thankfully does well to bring fond memories to its already existing fans and make new ones at that.
Pros: Great writing and characters, really funny, most of the puzzles are clever, the original version is included and easy to swap to, charming visuals and audio of the original, good hint system
Cons: A few puzzles don't have the most logical solutions, a hefty bit of backtracking, at times it's unclear where to go next, extremely disappointing updated visuals and added voice acting, some issues with the sound while playing in the classic mode
