Being someone who actually really liked the first game, I was excited for the sequel. It was unfortunately disappointing. The story has a decent setup but eventually becomes sort of disjointed. There are many interesting aspects and moments in it, but doesn't come together in a way that would work. The ending comes off as rushed, and some of the supporting characters don't get enough time to really make any impact. Combat is similar to the first game and works very well, with a variety of combos and upgrades. Some enemies aren't too great though. There are a variety of boss encounters and most of them are interesting. Stealth comes in to try and add to the game, but comes off as forced in, and ultimately should not have been included. The game looks good most of the time. Some things could use some work, and the modern day setting isn't very interesting, but the past setting looks fantastic. Overall, it's okay, but is disappointing.
