At some point, the game tells me that the only way to save everyone is by pressing the button. It doesn't say which button, but it's assumed to be the power button. Panzer Dragoon Saga is the ending to a beautiful trilogy released exclusively for the Sega Saturn. I'll guess that's the reason not a lot of people talk about it. Instead of being a on-rail shooter like its predecessors, it's a JRPG, a good JRPG. PDZ is one of the best JRPG I've ever played. It doesn't come with its own spiky haired characters and boring clichés, but with a deep plot and meaningful characters. The combat itself is quite fun (even though is turn-based) and every battle feels like a puzzle. For today's standards, the graphics are pretty bad, the Saturn hardware didn't age well, but I kinda like the art direction and the graphics, I think it's charming. It's rare for me to be touched by a game, especially an old one, but PDZ really gave me feelings and I'm grateful for that.
