Devil May Cry 4 isn't as good as the game before it, but still manages to be a very good DMC game. Combat is just as good, if not better than the ones before it, and gives us two characters with different sets of moves to use through the game. The game looked good at time of release and features interesting and fun boss encounters. Story isn't usually a DMC game's strong point, and this game isn't much of an exception. First half you play as Nero, who is good to play as, but isn't very interesting as a character. The second half is where things get great. You have to go back through the game's levels, but this time you play as Dante, opening up different combat options than Nero. Dante makes the second half worth it. His gameplay is great, and he is at his best in this game during cutscenes. While not as great as DMC3 and maybe DMC, DMC4 still manages to offer a great deal of enjoyment in the form of great combat and the now likeable Dante we've come to love.
