I love when games have a huge focus on a heartstring-tugging story. This wasn't too often, even RPGs on NES didn't present fully cinematic stories. It was platformers that had better story, mythology and lore. This is the most story-driven game on the NES PERIOD (along with it's two sequels) and on NES was a concept that blew peoples mind, it certainly blew mine! Along the flowing 8-bit cut scenes is exhilarating gameplay comprised of intense platforming, demanding action and a rocking Tecmo soundtrack. While it's not the most polished NES platformer, I love it because it has a beautiful combo of demanding better from your reflexes and rewarding you for doing so with a great story which feels all the more epic after the intense gameplay
