Jesus, 1989 sucked, there are like 5 good movies that came out that year; the rest is utter forgettable trash. Mystery Train by Jim Jarmusch was pretty dope, though. Batman and Mermaid are aight

Editing … I know we would have at least one person with shit taste like this. 1989 was very good (especially outisde of Hollywood moviess). I haven't even seen a lot of the most interesting looking stuff yet ("Freeze. Die. Come to Life", "Black Rain", "The Asthenic Syndrome", "Visitor to a Museum", "Why Has Bodhi-Dharma Left for the East?", "My Twentieth Century", just to name a few) .

Editing … I think what Magwaza is trying to say - in his own unique Magwaza-style way of saying it - is that every year had great movies, you just have to look for them. Which is a fair point.

Editing … Mate, you cant call a year bad in film when you've obviously only seen shitty movies from the year. Do the Right Thing and plunge into The Abyss of 1989. You feel like you were Born on the Fourth of July? Go watch Driving Miss Daisy and feel the Glory of Henry V. After these, you've become so addicted to good movies, you'll become a Drugstore Cowboy, but don't do drugs, go to the Dead Poets Society.
