    Saved!
I think I spoiled myself by playing the sequel before this game :P Much smaller in scope, this game only has 6 endings, compared to Virtue's Last Rewards 20. Regardless, I still had a great time playing this game, trying to solve it's mysteries and enjoying the twists and turns of the narrative. If a story-centric game can hold your interest for 20+ hours, when you already know how it ends, I would consider that an endorsment to its excellent writing. Full of twists and turns, this game keeps you hooked right through to the end. The only criticism I have is with the puzzles. They were far too simple and required very little input from the player. This has it's merits however, as you will be replaying them A LOT if you want to attempt all the endings, but believe me, they do get tedious. Initially stumped on how to get the true ending, I eventually picked up on the clues and it was well worth it. As soon as I was done, I wanted to play the sequel all over again :)

Editing … I never did finish VLR. I just didn't find it as thrilling or engrossing as the first game somehow.
