The first two Terminator movies were sci-fi masterpieces, and it's a no-brainer that a third movie would eventually happen with or without James Cameron...turns out it did happen, but without Cameron...

While Terminator 3 still succeeds as an entertaining action flick, it is not original, it's not interesting, it has no depth, no complexity. The plot of this film is literally a rehash of Terminator 2, but the biggest insult this movie gives to Terminator fans is retconning the memorable theme and message from Terminator 2 "The future is not set. There's no fate but the one we make for ourselves" by establishing that Judgement Day is actually unnavoidable. Seriously? This is the best you could come up with?

The effects are also a huge downgrade, with the overuse of crappy CGI instead of intelligent practical effects. It may have looked decent back then, but it didn't age well at all. Everything looks fake as hell.

It was still entertaining, but way too much dumb to overlook.
