The first movie was an instant classic. So obviously, the sequel had alot to live up to...and it not only met all expectations, but beat the ever lasting shit out of them!

Cameron knew he couldn't be as original or innovative with Terminator 2, so instead he focused on expanding the Terminator universe and he did it pretty much perfectly. Alot of stuff about the plot that was left to interpretation was answered and expanded upon, and it made the mythos all the more interesting. The characters have alot more depth to them, the relationship between the T-800 and John Connor is brilliantly done!

Terminator 2 was also the first step the series took into the world of CGI. The T-1000 couldn't be made with animatronics, so Cameron made use of it and created some breathtaking effects, especially at the time. And many will say it still holds up.

Most people will say Terminator 2 is the best, and in a way if kind of is.
