After being disappointed with Suikoden II, it's nice to see that one of those hyped rare PSX games I never played really is good. It's one of those games where each part seems kind of janky, but somehow it all comes together to make something memorable and greater than the sum of its parts. I think it's mostly just how charming the whole thing is that makes it work. It's not an amazing game, but at $6, I wouldn't pass it up.
