They replaced Harry Mason with a woman because it's "more believable" that a mom would love a child. They added a ridiculous car chase, a boring prologue, unnecessary town backstory, turned the cult into a generic "burn the witch" organization, turned Alessa from simply the victim into a dark vengeance seeker cause creepy children amiright, threw in Pyramid Head for stupid fan service, took out most of the shooting (not that Silent Hill was about the shooting but it still felt weird that only one monster got shot and Rose spent half the time in hadcuffs), and they built up the hospital like crazy and there was only one thing in it. Also, there was hardly any Lisa and it wasn't scary, plus there's too much gore. The music was good because it was from the games, and moments like the gap in the road and the bathroom transformation are cool, plus there's a nice feeling of intensity, and really most of the school part isn't bad. But honestly, I even like Homecoming more.
