A fowl film. It's overwhelming emphasis on the art of film is both salvaged and embraced by it's grotesque atmosphere. Its practical effects are sickening and its hard lighting and black and white filter only pushes the grimy presentation further. It's a movie that really sticks with the viewer, both through its visuals and cleverly executed themes.
