For example, Lineage II was divided into 4 sagas: The Chaotic Chronicle, The Chaotic Throne, Goddess of Destruction, and Epic Tale of Aden. These are always used as the subtitle during the time that they are in effect. Two MMOs with the same title that are truly different are Ragnarok Online 2: The Gate of the World and RO2: Legend of the Second, with the latter having been made from scratch and being a completely different game. Realm Reborn is still based upon the original. Assets have been re-used, and most of the world is still intact. But I never played the original FF14, so I guess I can't say say for sure.
