SAO gets quite a bit of flack but I really enjoyed it.

The show follows a guy who is being kept against his will inside of a Virtual Reality MMO along with 10000 other players. This show got to me quite a bit as while growing up I probably spent more time in the virtual world than I did outside of it and I don't regret it at all.

I met some awesome people over eight years that I am still friends with to this day. As silly as it may sound tackling the challenges in MMOs with my gulidies was the first time I actually enjoyed working towards a common goal as part of a team / experienced the sense of achievement that came when you succeeded after your work.

Its not exactly a mind taxing show but its cool visuals, fantastic soundtrack and simple but enjoyable characters will carry it along.

I would have liked for the entire show to focus on the first story arc as it was by far the most interesting.

If you have ever been invested in MMOs for any period of time this is a must watch.
