If I had my stylus still with me and my touchscreen wasn't so shit, I'd probably still be charging my DS from time to time, just to play that game.
Saved!Filly VanilliEditing … Speaking as someone who was hooked on ACNL for about... 4 months straight, the hook is generally in getting your town and your house to look exactly how you want it to look. And there are a lot of things you can do to customize--plant flowers and breed rare hybrids, unlock Public Works Projects like benches, sculpture art, and bonfires, etc., planting trees, buying new clothes and home decorations (of which there are a TON), changing the exterior of your house, and even trying to track down the villager characters you want. Plus there's the whole aspect of trying to collect all of the fish, fossils, and bugs for the museum. And in ACNL you can take screen shots and easily post them online! Villager dialogue can also be really funny.
