great, Final Fantasy III's endboss insta-k.o.ed me with four 9999 hits in a row. Suck my dick, I don't have the patience to play the last 2.5 hours again just so I could say I legitimately "finished" this game.

Editing … I think I knew about the long-end-stretch-no-saving thing in advance and grinded like crazy. This was the DS version. My sister didn't know what grinding was and when she saw me making my character run in circles she was like "Stop that. It's annoying."

Editing … Wait...you stayed with the same jobs that the Wind Crystal gave you? If I understood your post correctly I think you did, and your stats must be crap. It would be better if you upgraded all jobs accordingly throughout the game, evolved the Warriors (fighters?) into Knights, and the White Mage into a Shaman. And if you go to Eureka, which is right at the beginning of the Crystal Tower, you can get the 2 "game breaking" jobs, which is Ninja (physical) and Sage (magic). You also get access to the best equipment in the game.

Editing … ...no. Sage is by far the best magic job, levels up your intelligence like crazy and has alot of magic points to spend on each spell level. AND it can use every magic in the game, including summons. They were nurfed in the 3D versions, but still the main magic class to use specially with the harder bosses where you desperately need two competent mages that can do pretty much anything.

Editing … Ulty, yes I did. Throughout the game I had no problem with that tactic whatsoever. My white/red mage and warrior's job Levels were at 99 each, so I dealt 9999 damage in each turn. Served me well up until the last boss. So you're basically telling me to change my character's classes and level them up back to 50-99 or so and then try to beat the last boss again? Nah thanks, that's too much additional (unnecessary) time Investment just to see one cutscene.

Editing … The job level is essential to get any job working properly, I don't see how it is bullshit. That's the point of the game, it rewards experimentation with multiple jobs and by doing so you'd realize other jobs might increase your stats more per level you gain. There's an actual risk of f***ing up in Final Fantasy III. It never happened to me though, I guess it's because I'd always try out the new jobs I got to see what I could do and gain from them. What i'm saying is you should at least raise Ninja and Sage's job level a bit and try again, I don't really remember if changing jobs in the 3D versions reallocates stats.

Editing … It could've been an improvement, if the game was actually designed around it. V was incredibly easy, having essentialy 8 jobs in one team was pretty much game breaking.

Editing … Most FF's are kind of easy, but I found V way too easy actually. But at least it provided some kind of challenge (the last boss was a decent surprise), I literally felt braindead while overcoming X's "challenge" xD

Editing … I didn't like the changes in the gameplay that XII made and I found the story boring. And yeah, I didn't like Chrono Trigger. The gameplay was too easy, I didn't like the art style, and I didn't find the characters and story interesting. I didn't DISLIKE either game. FFXII had great NPCs, high quality graphics, and a hell of an awesome intro video. Chrono Trigger had some nice atmosphere and music sometimes and felt solid I guess. Now Chrono Cross I really disliked, as well as Final Fantasy VI.
