Pyramid Head is the perfect kind of boss for a game like Silent Hill 2. He is big, slow, intimidating, and basically impossible to defeat. Really, your best bet is that he gets bored of you running in terror every time you see him and deciding to go kill something more interesting. The Hopeless Boss Fight done right. This also works well with the game's symbolism and whatnot.
