Imagine an old friend, who you share a history with and care for deeply, fucking up real bad the last time you two met. Thankfully, he saw error of his ways and values your friendship. His heart is in the right place, so he decides to make amends. Unfortunately, he's also an idiot and while he was desperately trying to not only quickly fix your relationship, but upgrade it as well, he forgot some of the things that made it special in the first place. At least he tried...
Pros: Solid and varied, if a bit disjointed and simple, gameplay, fast-paced battle system, leveling up your characters and monsters is strangely addicting and satisfying, great soundtrack
Cons: Dogshit story and writing, moronic characters, RPG-lite, annoying ending and padding, there's not much of a world, but rather barely linked small levels forming the game, rehash of locales, underwhelming equipment management, poorly implemented dialogue choices, QTEs, volume adjustment is bizarrely missing from the options
