    The best writing in any video game, bar none. In the wrong hands, Planescape: Torment would be another lackluster RPG about a fairly stereotypical character engaging in a fairly stereotypical, moody fantasy world. What we got was a journey into a very rich world filled to the brim with thought-provoking missions, characters, and various other circumstances, guided by one of the most compelling game protagonists ever created. The game's combat has admittedly aged fairly poorly, but in my experience, it helps significantly if the game is approached for its story first and foremost.
