Not sure why they decided on another scaler style racer for the stock MD - this would've been so much better on the MCD - but for what it is it's a fun variation on the old Outrun engine with some new additions like jumps, alternate paths during segments and a turbo feature (which sadly you don't get to use that much since the physics are pretty weird and there's barely any 'draw distance'). The italo-inspired soundtrack is awesome though.
