What makes Bubble Bobble great to me is that there's quite a lot more to it beyond the already impressive main mechanics, 2-player coop and cute visuals. I had a lot of fun discovering its secrets one by one after finally investing the time in it that it deserves. My favourite versions are on the Arcade, Amiga, and Master System.
