An excellent platform adventure and in some ways a swan song for the SMS. It really shows off the audiovisual potential of the system while also being a polished game mechanics-wise, expanding on the platform format from CoI with some exploration elements, a hub world for traveling between stages, and a decent attempt at a storyline told through well drawn cutscenes. Obvious similarities to SMB3 aside, this is an 8-bit classic.
