I guess only Sega would go through with mixing Streets of Rage and Zelda at this time. Well, the result is not bad actually. There are plenty of moves and the use of natural elements to summon elemental spirits are both good additions to a then established formula. I also liked smaller details like enemies' vulnerability to traps or their own bombs. The story, while better at giving directions in the re-translated JP version I played, is still pretty bland and lacks humour and interesting characters. Overall it's a solid game with some interesting ideas and excellent visuals, but it could've used some more polish here and there. There's some backtracking, some cheap hits, mostly poor/unfitting music, and some combos would've been more useful if they had been mapped to the XYZ buttons instead.
