If I was god, the levels in this game would be about 20% longer, and the egg-shaped crawling robot segment would be removed. It would be the perfect run 'n gun game. Besides that, Contra: HC is worth playing just for the fact that it's an experimental entry in a very conservative series, and you Contra fanboys need to get out of your comfort zone more. If you're new to the series, then one way to ease yourself into the game is trying out the JP version first as it provides a 3 point health bar to each character.
