I find this game really dated in some ways. The mode 7 effect makes the course look all pixelated, the scrolling is choppy and you only get half a screen's playfield even in single player mode. Gameplay-wise I find the controls pretty awkward and unintuitive as the camera doesn't keep up with your kart when turning. At least the courses are pretty creative and the game is kind of fun even now, in 2-player that is.
