    Saved!
A movie with such an outlandish premise ought to provide some silly fun, but AL:VH manages to fall into a very narrow niche of fail where nothing makes sense, everything looks stupid, and everyone involved is taking the whole affair so seriously that all entertainment value is lost. Where to start? The action sequences are robbed of any suspense by a ludicrous degree of cartoonishness. At one point a vampire swings a horse around by its leg and chucks it at Lincoln, slamming into him at about 40 mph. Instead of having his lungs crushed, Lincoln then does a silly maneuver to mount and ride the horse on its somehow not broken leg. The films biggest setpieces are obscured by massive amounts of dust, fog and smoke, most likely to cover up the horrendous CGI. The rules governing the universe are nonsensical, where vampires are physically incapable of killing each other, but face no issues when kicking each others asses. And the actors sleepwalk through their delivery of uninspired dialogue.
