This was my online gateway drug, as well as the game that pushed me to race out and get a PS2. I got my first taste at a friend's house for about an hour, and like an instant addict, I immediately went out and bought a PS2, a network adapter (which wasn't easy to find at the time), a copy of this game (which thankfully came with a headset), and signed up for high-speed internet. It was like gaming heroin, although it would be the 2nd game that would completely dominate my social life.

In retrospect, it was actually hackers that served as a form of intervention party, cause who knows how much longer I would have played those games if not for them.
