First of all, it's the longest. Harry gets pissed all the time, something I loved since I was pretty pissed about life when I read it. It's easy to sympathize with Harry as more and more crap is dumped on him. The Department of Mysterious is wonderfully bizarre, and the tragedy that occurs there hit me hard. Luna is my favorite HP character because of the wonderful conversation they have at the end. There's an exciting hearing, a crazy battle, Harry cutting himself and being moody, it's all great. The fifth book is my favorite part of the HP universe.
