I was told there would be lesbians god damn it!

Lesbian letdown aside, what started out as an 'OK but by no means great' show just kept getting worse and worse. The actual fights between the assassins are fine, the combat injuries made me wince quite a few times so they must be doing something right there. (Disclaimer: It is entirely possible that I am just a massive wuss.)

The dialogue however is really, REALLY over the top. It is played so straight and is so cliché that it gets quite comedic at times. Characters say the cheesiest lines with the straightest of faces and do things plucked right out of the anime tropes handbook like swearing revenge while looking down, making a fist and gritting your teeth.

The overall narrative is silly, the lack of payoff at the end after hyping up the main plotline for so long is a real bummer. I won't ruin the ending but id put it on my 'Worst Endings Ever' list.

There are much better things out there you could be watching.
