AAA-mazing. Bioware has finally done it. This game is the perfect blend of all games Bioware has created. Easily GOTY 2014.

Editing … I don't think I'll like it nearly as much as Mass Effect 1 & 2 but here's hoping it surprises me when I get around to playing it.

Editing … I would also like to try this one as well. Does it still have the ridiculous amount of choices DA1 had?

Editing … I haven't done much of the plot yet, but I've encountered a fair number of potentially game changing (as in, they'll make each playthrough feel different depending on what you do) choices already. It's at the very least my favorite Bioware game since the first Dragon Age so far, but I think it'll end up being quite a bit better.

Editing … I'm all for game changing choices in RPG's, but DA1 was freaking ridiculous. I was forced to make some redundant choice every 30 seconds, all I wanted to do was play the damn game and it constantly asked me to talk to people that would ask me 10+ questions. It took FOREVER to go from story to gameplay X_X I really liked DA1, let me make that clear and I can understand the appeal for many people, but jesus christ Bioware all I want is to play your damn game! :P

Editing … For me Origins was more of an interactive story with RPG gameplay on the side, I loved having all those choices and seeing the consequences.

Editing … In that case: Yeah, this one does the exact same thing. Basically all Bioware games do. If you try starting up a conversation with anyone in the game, be prepared to go through bunches and bunches of dialogue options. I personally love it, because I love deep character interactions in my RPG's, but I can see how it would get to be excessive for some people.

Editing … I didn't mind it on origins but in 2 the dialogue was so much I couldn't bear to play anymore, the gane was just walk to a character to skip a conversation.

Editing … I mean if the choices were actually interesting and felt like they had some kind of point yeah, I would kind of dig it. But Origins kept forcing me to make so many apparently redundant decisions that it drove me nuts after awhile. The combat itself was pretty good though, I love me some FFXII style battle system, and I was liking the character development system as well. It looked like it had a HUGE world to explore with lots of shit to uncover, which I absolutely love. If it weren't for the ridiculous time spent with the story, which I admit is a personal gripe, I could see it being in my ATF 50...

Editing … Well, this one certainly has a huge world to explore: Some people have taken close to 20 hours just to explore one area! (I've spent around 10-12 hours there at least, and I have probably somewhere between 2/3 and 3/4 of it finished.) I think a lot of the dialogue in this one is mostly optional, but as with any Bioware game, it can take up a pretty large chunk of your play time, if you choose to go through all of it (and of course because I also read a lot of the lore, that adds even more to my time.) I personally consider the story elements to be the most important part of any Bioware game (specifically worded that way, because obviously story doesn't matter as much to me with some games: It really depends on what the developer is going for), so I'm enjoying the hell out of it so far. Plus, the actual gameplay is quite a bit better than the first two, both in terms of exploration and combat, though character development is pretty much the same as in II, except that in this one you do fully equip your companions.

Editing … Oh, and dialogue choices are basically the same as in the first two, in that 90% of the time they're used to get more information from characters, with some choices occasionally swaying their affinity for your character in one direction or another, and then every once in a while you get a major choice. So yeah, it pretty much is the same as always.
