When I was little, I was already deeply fascinated by the mere first 5 screens. But having returned to it after more than 2o years, I can truly say: this really is a fine gem.

You start off as some leather jacket and jeans wearing city guy, awakening deep inside a thick jungle after just barely surviving a spaceship chase, slowly gathering & encountering captivating scifi artefacts – AWSM-SAUCE! But honestly, the jungle (which is much too short, imo) is just the beginning!

The cinematic platformer "Flashback", simply an awesome action-adventure, provides – for its time – gorgeous pixel look visuals with impressively realistic animations. Unfortunately, this doesn't apply to the (partly even childish) cutscenes. But you can't have it all.

The game offers a fantastic imagination, decent-to-great music, and controls that, well … the game's biggest hurdle are its controls. They're no trouble once you got the hang of it, but highly unintuitive and hard to figure out.
