Addressing the issues with the show upfront: appreciating it requires the viewer to unpack an incredible amount of symbolism, and it's mostly in the last two arcs where it all comes together. But god, does it come together beautifully. So many metaphors for Spoilermisogyny, masculinity, domestic abuse, victim blaming, heteronormativity... The messages imparted by this series are so. Damn. Real. And on a lighter note, even though the pacing is a bit off, at least the filler episodes are HILARIOUS.
