"I am a trans girl and during transitioning I found a save haven and great solace in my LGS. At first I was hesitant and scared to go alone, so I often asked a friend of mine to go with me to play Magic. But over time I dared to go alone and now I have a great group of friends who accept and respect me for who I am. I am a regular and people know me by name and by the Commander decks I play. The store owner and an employee even came to visit me when I was in the hospital for a week after surgery earlier this year.
