Seriously, what the …? I'm stuck in a game and I'm wondering if this really is a game-specific hint or rather a simple colloquial term in English.

The in-game clue goes "If anything happens to me, search under my combo in catalog!"

There's a guy in this game who was murdered but has left all sorts of clues to help find the murderer. I've already figured out that I have to search for this "combo" in the school library's catalog computer. But what is this "combo" he's talking of?! Is it slang for initials or nickname or something like that?

Editing … Searching "combo library" points me to the color combinations code for html. You know "[color=#FFFF]" for example. It can also be the code that the library have for each book? Just some ideas

Editing … Limited context but I would say that combo is short for combination. What is the setting of this game / is there something in this setting that requires a number combination to open because if there is I would imagine it wants you to to search the 'catalog' for that characters numbers.

Editing … The setting is a school and maybe they mean his locker number which, to figure out, was a puzzle in itself. It's the best lead, I'd say.

Editing … At my work place the code used to get into the building is called the "door combo" or "key combo" by absolutely everyone. (Ages range from 20-60ish) I didn't have lockers at my school but in all the American media I watched growing up combo was used in this way as well.
