Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons tells a compelling story in a rather poor way. While the theme of the game is quite mature, the character designs and the delivery of the story are childish. While I do get the reasoning behind this decision and the idea itself sounds great on paper, ultimately the execution of the idea isn't quite where it should've been. Thankfully, this game does plenty of things oh so right, which makes the few, but significant missteps bearable.
Pros: Powerful journey, respects the player, gorgeous and diverse environments, superb pacing, imaginative and across the board superb puzzles, great level design, ''organic'' sidequests, (unexpected) moments that pack a punch, interactions with the environment, good music
Cons: Irritating made up language and gesticulations hurt the narrative, visual designs of human and humanoid characters, slightly troublesome controls when characters have to synchronize their movements/actions, a few story moments are cut off too quickly
