This game is difficult to classify. It's usually called a platformer, but the game is about flying, and it's more about getting higher scores than about completing the levels. I heard someone call it an "unplatformer," and that's probably about as good a classification for it as you're going to get. Unfortunately, most people approach it as a regular platformer at first and don't like it much when they first play it (I didn't), but if you give it time and effort, you'll find something amazing.
