Been a couple years since I bought an NHL game but I figured I'd jump in on this one since it's the first of this console generation.

  Editing … I've decided to buy EA Sports games (basketball and hockey) every 5 years, so I'm going to end up with e.g. NHL95, 00, 05, 10 and the next one I'll buy is NHL15. That way the annualization of these franchises doesn't affect me and I still get to experience one sports game each generation, which is quite interesting from a historical point of view for someone like me who is heavily invested in the videogame industry's evolution over the last couple of decades.
