    Saved!
My number one favorite entertainment and the only thing that feels perfect to me. I wouldn't change a word. Brian Robeson crashes in the Canadian wilderness with only a hatchet and has to survive on his own. This book tapped into and developed my love of nature as a child. For all my current love of technology, part of me always hated it growing up and wished we humans could live more in harmony with nature. I hated people and the idea of surviving alone in nature was immensely appealing. Hatchet is a simple but powerful story. The wilderness doesn't care if Brian lives or dies, and he has to become tougher. The author encourages readers to observe and care about the world around them. I love the way this story makes me feel anti-materialistic. Nothing is better.
