Final Fantasy X is a story of sacrifice, and my personal favourite Final Fantasy. As much fun this game is to play you'll probably spend just as much time depressed once you solve some of the mysteries of the past and learn the what the end goal truly is. That might be a turn off to some, but with how near perfect this game is it'd be a crime to pass it up.

Being the first FF game to have voice acting Square do a decent job. Some characters might come across a little monotone and dead pan, but the main cast is on their A-Game and that's what truly matters.

Gameplay is classic FF in that monsters are found in random encounters. However, with summons, magic, and swords too damn big for a normal man to lift you can defeat the evils of the world. New to the series is the Sphere Grid: A leveling system that may scare away new comers, but is easy once you begin to understand it and helps make all the characters unique and useful. Something not always found in Final Fantasy.
