Hands down the best Mario game ever. Super Mario Bros 3, the original, and 64 are really good, but this here is the best experience. Perfect control, lots of levels, loads of secrets; it's hard to think of a reason to not go back to it at times.
I recommend either the All-Stars + World pack, or the GBA port with Luigi. Or just the SNES original. You can't go wrong in any way.
