This game is the result of taking the gameplay design of Fallout, taking bits and pieces of Shadowrun's fantasy creatures, smacking them around, then putting them in a steampunk world, where magic and technology are at odds with one another. It includes the freedom of character creation from Fallout, along with all the great customization options, the ability to play the game in so many different fashions, it'll make your head spin. Wanna be a brawny lesbian she-orc? You can totally do that. A silver-tongued gunslinger? Can do that! A merchant with some magic up his sleeve? Yup, you can. You can even be a completely retarded ogre with superstrength, that solves everything with OGRE SMASH. I'm serious. You can set your intelligence to 1, and you will literally only be able to barely grunt in dialogue. That's how great this game is. Not to mention, custom modules and characters make this game almost infinitely replayable. However, in typical style for both Sierra and Troika, this game was completely bug riddled at release, to the point of almost unplayability out of the box for most. (Myself included.)
