My first SRPG (megadrive) and one of the very first in the genre, really under the radar in the west but in Japan known as Langrisser it was very popular spawning many sequels and remakes none of which left Japan.

Unique as SRPG's go as instead of just controlling heroes, you control commanders and 8 troops per team. Advance Wars fans will love it.

The best ones now have english fansubs (langrisser 2, Der langrisser, langrisser 4.
