This book has been my first foray into Tom Clancy's work and what a damn good foray it was. The book was chock full of great characters including the mysterious Marko Ramius and the intelligent but inexperienced Jack Ryan. It was suspenseful, action-packed, and informative. I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would after buying it for a quarter at a yard sale and I'll definitely have to check out some of Tom Clancy's other titles.
