Journey is a tough game to describe, and I always struggle to explain it when I tell people that they have to play this game. I also don’t want to hype it up too much for others, because everyone’s experience will likely be different. After two playthroughs, I still can’t get over what an incredible emotional experience it was each time, even though I played it mostly alone the first time and with someone the second. Between the wonderful, evocative music and the soaring gameplay at the end, it was liberating, and it felt like some weight had been lifted and I was free. These feelings were so overwhelming that it took me awhile to wonder why I was even feeling that way. Journey is truly a magical experience and it’s likely best if you know very little about it going in.
