I have no clue what I just watched, - after the exposition I simply enjoyed the movie for its stunning art direction and not much else.

Is #Princess Mononoke's plot supposed to be as confusing as I think it was?

She's the key to restoring nature to what it should be instead of what humanity wants. The movie pretty much documents in story form what humans are doing to this planet without really thinking about their actions.
