Oh man what a ride.

Two shut-in gamers are thrust into an alternate fantasy world where humanity is on the brink of destruction and all conflict is resolved by gambling / games. (Not just videogames.)

It's an absolute travesty that this was only 12 episodes long. There is obviously going to be more / another show but I can hardly stand the wait. NGNL was definitely my anime of the season as everything about it just oozes fun. I really enjoyed the hyper colourful art style, intense OST, endearing characters and the fact that it is taking full advantage of the unique rules of the chosen setting.
