While Mario Power Tennis features outstanding graphics, a great soundtrack and a big character roster, the replay value and game modes are considerably lower compared to Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour. You can play exhibition matches, tournaments and mini-games. You cannot transfer your players from Mario Tennis: Power Tour from the GBA. The addition of power shots is the best part of the game, not only due to the hilarious and lovely detailed character animations but also from the tactical point of view. This game is challenging but not frustrating, the difficulty is well-balanced. Mario Power Tennis is a fun multi-player game, but is slightly disappointing in single player mode due to the low amount of different game modes.
