New Super Mario Bros. Wii is a nice 2D platform game. No more, no less. Sometimes the soundtrack can get a little bit annoying, but overall it is quite okay. The graphics are also okay as well as the well balanced difficulty. With the "super guide" mode, even beginners have a chance to complete the game. In my opinion any game should have a super guide mode so people don't have to use cheat codes or search the Internet for hours to beat the game. The level design is also nice, but the best thing about NSMB: Wii is the very fun multi-player mode! However, this game is nowhere near as good as the old Super Mario Bros. games. I guess no new 2D plattform game can outdo all-time classics like Super Mario All Stars or Super Mario World.
