It's hard not to compare this with the first Rearmed and notice where this game comes up short. The momentum physics of the classic original was replaced with canned swinging motions which takes away the series' unique mechanic and hook for reasons I can't really explain. Between that and imprecise jumping you have a platforming game with unacceptably janky input controls for the genre. On top of other decisions like your weapons having limited ammo are frustrating because these deviations from the original game don't improve it and often is a detriment. That said, I enjoyed the game despite these flaws and I still love the core premise, but it's frustrating to see a sequel make so many mistakes the original had right the first time.
